Safety And Security

At Chrysler, safety is a priority designed into all of our vehicles. So it is particularly satisfying to see Sebring Sedan achieve a five star rating-the highest government frontal crash test rating for driver and front passenger.*

The Sebring Sedan brings together style and safety so you can look great on the road, and feel safe while you're there. Whether it's the full range of active safety features, passive safety systems or the highest NHTSA frontal crash test rating, Sebring Sedan is designed to make you and the people you care about feel safe.

* Based on NHTSA's 2002 model year ratings.
Always use seatbelts.
Remember, a backseat is the safest place for children 12 and under.

Structure

Good road feel and responsive cornering begin with structural rigidity and chassis stiffness. The underbody structures utilized in Sebring Convertible contribute to torsional stiffness.

Brakes
The ABS-Plus antilock brake system (standard on Limited and available on Sebring, GTC® and Touring) is a sophisticated extension of conventional ABS. The available four wheel disc brakes with ABS sense differences in wheel speed while braking in a turn, and balance the brake forces at each wheel to help keep the vehicle stable.
Security

The convenient remote keyless entry system includes illuminated entry and controls for power door locks, trunk and the added security of a panic alarm (includes two transmitters).

The theft alarm monitors doors, ignition and trunk key cylinders to help guard against tampering. It is standard on Limited, available on Touring with the Luxury Group and available on GTC® with the Security Group. The Sentry Key Engine Immobilizer prevents the engine from running without a properly encoded key. It is standard on Touring and Limited and available on GTC® with the Security Group. It keeps thieves away by not allowing engine start-up without the proper key.

Air Bags

Next Generation multistage driver and front passenger air bags* inflate with forces appropriate to the severity of impact.

* Always use seatbelts. Remember, a back seat is the safest place for children 12 and under.
